Description
Studio Acrylics are PURE acrylic – meaning the resin used with the pigment is made from 100% pure acrylic. This makes them an archival paint, which is longer lasting. Convenience colours are very strong, expensive pigments which are blended with Unbleached Titanium White.
Taking organic, natural unbleached titanium, which was originally used in the textile industry, and mixing this into the pigments not only extends the pigments but also makes them opaque and opens them up to a whole new range of colour mixing and techniques.
6 new original pigments:
Unbleached Titanium
Hansa Yellow, which is a brand-new pigment on the market in the Middle Range. Used as an organic replacement for Cadmium
Light Violet – Dioxide violet mixed with unbleached titanium. The new violet pigment is so strong, it is almost black.
Light Magenta – a blend of Magenta Deep Quinacridone mixed with unbleached titanium
Naphthol Pink -Naphthol Red mixed with unbleached Titanium
Ultramarine (UM) light violet is a new blue based violet pigment which is also very strong and expensive.
2 opaque colours:
Opaque Blue
Opaque Green – yellows are usually very transparent, so the more you add to blue, the more transparent the green becomes. This one is mixed with Hansa Yellow to stay strong.
2 Toupes:
Natural and Rose (Rose is mixed with a touch of Naphthol Red for a pink blush.
